FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: I’m not sure if the service I’m interested in is right for me. Do you offer consultations?
A: Yes! Consultations are always free. I will set aside 30 minutes to go over all the info pertaining to the service you are curious about. You will leave armed with all you need to make an informed decision and will know exactly what to expect should you choose to move forward. Consultations are never a sales pitch, and there is no pressure to book.
Q: I have no idea what brow shape will look good on me. Will you help with this?
A: Absolutely. I have clients who come to me and know exactly what shape and thickness they want, and I have others who need a lot of guidance. I work well with all types!
Q: Does it hurt?
A: It depends on the service. I use two types of topical numbing creams for most permanent makeup services. Some clients are totally comfortable throughout the appointment, and others report mild to moderate discomfort. No one has ever been unable to finish the appointment because they were in pain.
Q: Can I get permanent cosmetics if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
A: No. Not only is there a risk of infection any time we open the skin barrier, tattooing or microblading pregnant or breastfeeding women goes against our insurance policy. In addition, the elevated hormones can cause the ink to heal unpredictably. No one wants their brown brows healing blue or pink! It is best to wait a few weeks after you have given birth and/or are finished breastfeeding before coming in for permanent cosmetics. In fact, I require it.
Q: Is your location ADA accessible?
A: Unfortunately, no. I am located on the second floor of a historic building that does not have an elevator or stair lift at this time. We are currently working toward a permanent accessibility solution. There is access to the first floor from the front and side entrances, and the stairs to the second floor are tucked back next to the cafe’. The side entrance is sometimes locked after dark.
Q: Can I bring my kid?
A: Our facility is licensed for tattoos and our artists are insured for tattooing. Those under 18 years of age are NOT permitted inside. Please plan to find childcare on the day of your appointment.
Q: Can I bring my partner, friend, mom etc?
A: Absolutely! I have a small waiting room. Due to limited space and sanitary reasons, we ask that friends and family do not accompany you to the treatment area. Please remember, no children.
Q: Do you have gift certificates?
A: Yes, I have gift cards that can be loaded in any amount. I am able to take payment in person or via an emailed invoice.
Q: What kind of payment methods do you accept?
A: I accept all major credit cards and debit cards as well as cash. I do not accept checks or payments via apps like Venmo at this time.
Q: Do you have a referral program?
A: Of course! Most of my clients hear about me from a friend or family member. I love referrals and starting in 2020, I will thank you for sending me new clients by crediting you $20 toward your next visit with me!
